As a Platform Engineer, you will build and continuously improve the cloud platform that powers Mediahuis' digital AI products. You'll develop platform services on Microsoft Azure, automate infrastructure, and ensure development teams can build and deploy applications efficiently and securely. Working closely with architects, security specialists, and engineering teams, you'll continuously enhance the developer experience and help evolve the platform.

Additionally, you will:

  • Develop and manage Kubernetes (AKS) environments.
  • Build and maintain Infrastructure as Code using Terraform while applying GitOps principles.
  • Optimize CI/CD pipelines and support cloud-native development.
  • Improve security, networking, storage, and observability across the platform.
  • Contribute to the further evolution of our cloud platform using technologies such as GitLab, PostgreSQL, NATS, and N8N.

You'll become part of TPS, Mediahuis' international technology organization. Together with colleagues across Belgium, the Netherlands, Ireland, Germany, and Luxembourg, you'll build the technology behind leading news brands and digital platforms.

Within the Platform Engineering team, you'll work on a modern cloud environment that enables engineering teams to develop, test, and deploy reliable digital products.

Your home base will be Antwerp, where we collaborate in the office at least two days per week, with hybrid working as the standard.

You have a pragmatic mindset, take ownership, and enjoy collaborating across technical disciplines to deliver the best possible solutions. You communicate fluently in English, as you'll work daily in an international environment. A good command of Dutch is considered a strong advantage.

You bring solid experience with Microsoft Azure and Kubernetes in complex enterprise environments and are comfortable working with Infrastructure as Code, preferably using Terraform. You have hands-on experience with CI/CD, cloud security, networking, and API-driven platforms, and you're passionate about automating and improving developer platforms.

Additionally, you have experience with:

  • Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS)
  • Terraform
  • GitLab and CI/CD
  • Cloud security, networking, and storage

Experience with AWS EKS, PostgreSQL, self-hosted NATS, N8N, or hybrid cloud environments is considered a plus.
