At Mediahuis, you don’t just develop AI — you help shape how technology strengthens independent journalism across our organisation. As an AI Developer, you design, build and optimise end‑to‑end AI‑driven solutions that are used in production.

You focus on developing production‑ready AI use cases that align with business objectives. A strong emphasis lies on advanced Retrieval‑Augmented Generation (RAG) systems and intelligent automation. You work hands‑on, from concept to deployment, and continuously improve solutions once they are live.

You integrate AI solutions within the Microsoft Azure ecosystem and ensure they meet high standards for scalability, performance and security. Together with stakeholders, you translate real business needs into practical and robust technical solutions, always with an eye on long‑term value.

 

Additionally, you will:
  • Build and optimise RAG‑based AI applications, including LLM integrations, vector databases and prompt engineering
  • Develop and maintain automation workflows using tools such as n8n, UiPath, Copilot, Claude Code and OpenCLaw
  • Contribute to best practices in AI development, MLOps and intelligent automation

You join TPS, the international technology organisation of Mediahuis. Within TPS, you become part of the Plug‑And‑Play‑AI team, which focuses on building robust, reusable AI solutions across the Mediahuis Group.

The team works on practical applications such as chatbots and intelligent internal processes, continuously improving existing solutions through iterative development. Collaboration, ownership and adaptability are key — values that reflect how Mediahuis approaches innovation and leadership.

Your location is flexible. Preferably, you work from our Antwerp office one to two days per week. For colleagues with a longer commute, we offer ample opportunities for remote work to maintain a healthy balance.

What’s on your CV matters, but your mindset matters just as much. You are proactive, pragmatic and solution‑oriented. You enjoy taking ownership, collaborating with others and working in an environment where priorities can change quickly — something that comes naturally in the news industry. You are eager to learn, share knowledge and continuously improve how things are done.

Hard skills:

  • Strong programming skills in Python and/or JavaScript
  • Experience with cloud platforms, preferably Microsoft Azure
  • Knowledge of RAG architectures, vector databases, embeddings and AI security
  • Experience with automation tools such as n8n, UiPath and Copilot
  • Familiarity with software engineering best practices (version control, CI/CD, testing)
